SCARNY's mission is heart-wrenching yet vital. They take in cats and dogs who have been abandoned in harsh environments, unable to fend for themselves after losing their homes. These animals often come from painful situations like hoarder homes, the sudden loss of their owners, or being stranded during natural disasters.

These rescued pets, once house pets, find a lifeline in SCARNY. The rescue operates without federal or state funding, relying solely on volunteers and the public's generosity for food and monetary contributions. We at West Babylon Animal Hospital are committed to providing medical care to these animals, helping them recover and prepare for a brighter future.

Pixies & Paws has a wide-reaching mission, rescuing dogs and cats locally, from overcrowded shelters in the southern United States, and even from as far as the Middle East. They focus their efforts on areas with high euthanasia rates and inadequate spay/neuter programs, such as certain parts of Georgia, Kentucky, Florida, and countries like Egypt, Lebanon, and Jordan.

As a New Jersey-based rescue, Pixies & Paws has rehomed hundreds of animals in New Jersey and New York. Their commitment is unwavering, regardless of an animal's origin. This rescue, too, relies entirely on donations and a network of volunteers, pivotal in finding forever homes for these animals.
